Kundalini Yoga Warrior Classes

“I am conscious of this world by means of my body.”
🔥”Take yourself on”  beautiful Yorkshire people🔥

When we work the psoas, dorsal, stomach, and pelvic muscles, we are taking ownership of muscles that gird your body. Hence the expression ‘gird your loins. We hold ourselves ‘up’ with this stronger physical reality.
Kundalini yoga is very much an embodied practice. Classes land you ‘within’ from the first few movements.

Our mind is linked to how we ‘report back’ in the body.
In our Warrior Class, we take energy movement to a higher level than our regular practice.
Regular Warrior classes can help you run, swim, bicycle, and live your life to the full. You may even find you’ve created a more tolerant sense of self; humour, tolerance, improved your yoga posture ability and lordy, even your sex life – if you have one…

Is this the class for you? Do you need more than the ‘talking circle’ version of the word/meaning of transformation?
This class brings transformation with a capital T – and we do this by not talking about ourselves. We do this by testing ourselves on the mat.

Expect 45 minutes of physical mat practice all genders welcome. Expect planks, leg raises, core crunch work. You can join any class.  Come before eating to gain maximum benefit.

Emma writes

“I believe that a strong core (your navel area) helps you move forward in life.

We literally ‘hold’ ourselves when we have strong muscles, face forward, and have purpose and direction.

It is said that your ‘projection and your personal power’ are held in the seat of the 3rd chakra – your navel.

Chakras are the human body’s personal energy centers. When we are weak, we give away our power (energy).

It is said in Kundalini yoga, that our navel (we call it the Nhabi point) is the door to our body.  When this door is open, others walk in uninvited.

We also hold our anger within our navel area, and our postures will allow the release of these kinds of emotions that hold you back.

Come and work out the ‘issues in your tissues. Come and build a strong navel point with me.

We often but not always, end the class with breath management – Pranayama. We can manipulate our breath (Prana energy) to boost wellbeing and quality for our life. When we work with the breath, we enter altered states, and we become present and still.

The posture work helps create the right atmosphere we need, for the breathwork.”

What do they say about Yogaspace Yorkshire?

I have taken part in several Kundalini yoga classes during retreats at Patrick Brompton Hall and have loved all of them.
I was a novice to this particular yoga but the classes catered for all abilities and I was immediately made to feel comfortable.
I couldn’t have asked for a better start to my Kundalini yoga journey and I can’t wait to go back again soon!

Lynne

To sum it up with one word: love. The best yoga retreat I have been to.

From the first moment of entering the beautiful hall, I knew this studio is something special. A light spacious yet so cozy and calm yoga space is hard to find. Relaxation comes naturally and yoga is so much more enjoyable in these beautiful surroundings. Emma is am amazing kundalini yoga teacher and divine when playing the gong. Her classes are challenging yet respect individual circumstances and make you feel so much better instantly. She is very knowledgeable, connects theory and practice with ease, is full of energy and positive spirit and a joy to be taught by. I truly love my kundalini yoga and gong sessions with Emma
